A Note from the Editor: Here’s What You Need to Know About Our Latest Happenings

Kathy McMakin, Editor of Classic Sewing magazine

Dear Sewing Friends,

Beautiful weddings always make me smile! I love admiring the garments—from the wedding gown to the little flower girl dress. In our latest issue, Nona Pontiff shows you how to make your own lace dress using simple techniques. The techniques are shown on a sweet flower girl dress, though the methods can also be applied to wedding gowns or even everyday blouses.

In each issue of Classic Sewing, our staff shares some of our favorite sewing supplies and notions in “The Sewing Box” recurring article. You can shop all the products featured in our Summer 2022 issue here.

Due to the overwhelming interest in The Joy of Sewing Licensing that was held in November 2021, it is now being offered once more for those of you who were not able to attend. We invite you to join us in beautiful St. Charles, Missouri, August 28–September 2, 2022, for a wonderful, fun-filled six days of sewing! Get all the details here.

Have a good week and sew, sew, sew!
