A Note from the Editor: Here’s What You Need to Know About Our Latest Happenings

Kathy McMakin, Editor of Classic Sewing magazine

Dear Sewing Friends,

Isn’t it fun to wear our own heirloom sewing, especially a blouse that will pair with so many garments? For a luncheon, a great skirt would do nicely, and for evening—black pants. Cynthia Boykin’s creation will be a timeless favorite of yours! This lovely blouse is featured in our latest issue.

I hope you are getting ready for holiday sewing. As autumn is here and the weather is changing, it’s time to think about autumn and winter sewing. I love the brilliant colors of autumn. Those colors always inspire me to create!

I marveled when I saw Connie Palmer’s Heirloom Quilt and insisted we make it into a class so that we can learn and review our heirloom sewing techniques. Connie has recorded videos for the class, and we have kits available as well.

Please stay safe and sew, sew, sew!
