A Visit with Children’s Corner in Nashville, TNThe staff works daily with customers to design beautiful projects and creates a monthly kit of a new design and supplies, naming it after longtime salesperson Pat Boudreaux. Often the “Pat’s Pick” has a new idea for a current pattern. “We have found this to be most helpful for our online customers who don’t have a local shop to frequent. We love being able to inspire and serve people all over the country,” says Karen, who learned to sew from her grandmother and rekindled that interest in a Sit & Sew several years ago.

Both Emily, who has a master’s degree in higher education administration, and Karen, with a master’s in business administration and a background in finance, have young children to serve as a source of inspiration. The two are constantly following trends and introducing new fabrics and designs to their customers, including new patterns using knit fabric. As the new owners of Children’s Corner Patterns, they are committed to classic timeless designs, individually printed pattern pieces on tissue, interchangeable pattern pieces, and designs that will last. “As we look toward the future, we do so with the grounding in the past. Our new patterns will balance timeless classics with an eye for modern trends. We love seeing children dressed as children and will strive to equip you to achieve this as well,” says Emily. “We are honored to be a part of something with such a rich history.”
