By Lezette Thomason
Classic dresses and embroidery motifs are timeless. Such is “Grace,” a gift from Lezette to Classic Sewing readers. The delicate Liberty of London fabric is smocked at the yoke in a matching thread color. The high yoke dress is curved in the front and straight in the back. The tiny gingham piping in matching colors frames the yoke and collar perfectly. It is amazing how a tiny touch of piping can add a magical charm to your dress. The pattern is sized 2-8.

Add embroidery to Grace’s piped collar for an added design element. Here, the same colors found in the garment’s floral fabric print are used for the stitched flowers.
