I can’t begin to tell you the excitement that runs through our office when the Christmas projects start arriving from our talented designers! It is like opening gifts for many weeks. I know you will love these wonderful projects from your favorite designers.
I am so excited to share with you the second annual Classic Sewing ornament. Judy Jamieson has captured antique scissors, thread and a vintage thimble in beautiful watercolor. It is a gorgeous ornament and I know you will want to add this to your collection.
Our cover dress is one of our favorite dresses. The scalloped waist is feminine and will look great on your favorite young lady. The sleeves are very simple, as they are cut with the bodice. Two versions of this dress are shown in varying fabrics, making this a versatile pattern for all seasons and our older girls.
Christmas is a special season for me and my family. Since my grandchildren have arrived, I see Christmas again through the eyes of a child. Is there anything more precious than those bright eyes and smiling faces when the first decorations and trees are put up in our homes?
The sweet innocence of childhood is something I miss. It seems to me that children are growing through those young years way too fast. That’s why I love the youthful garments our designers create. I love children looking like children! I am sure our grandparents felt the same way about us. In fact, I am sure they felt that way. We might not have had all the video games and electronic devices they have, but we had white go-go boots and mini-skirts. It was a very special Christmas when those white patent leather boots were wrapped up under the tree!
As we celebrate the season at Classic Sewing, our gifts are you, our designers, and our wonderful staff. Everyone loves gifts, and we are thankful for all of you. Thank you for your love, your encouragement, you support, and your gift of sharing your sewing with us.
