Wedding Garter - Classic Sewing

By Peggy Dilbone

Is there anything more perfect for the “something blue” than an exquisite handmade garter for the lucky bride? This wedding garter is blue silk satin ribbon trimmed with French edging lace and accented with a ribbon and lace rosette. The garter is a feminine accessory for any classic bridal trousseau. A tip from the designer, Peggy Dilbone, “The heading contains several threads one of which can be used for gathering. I always use the very top thread, the one that forms the tiny scallop in the heading, as my gathering thread.” Listed below are the supplies youll need for this fun project!
